Club Roddick Exclusive: Coach Connors

One of the most exciting stories of 2006 is undoubtedly the somewhat unexpected pairing of two tennis generations: Connors and Roddick. Shortly after announcing he would be working with tennis legend Jimmy Connors, Andy’s year took a dramatic turn with a finals appearance at the US Open and match points against Roger Federer in Shanghai. Bringing Connors back in the tennis spotlight, the highly anticipated mentorship also brought some much needed perspective to the positive progress of American Men’s tennis. After only five months, Connors recently announced he will be joining Andy on the road more in 2007. Ar.com caught up with Coach Connors at the Masters Cup in Shanghai for an exclusive interview.
