Andy flattened France’s chance make a come back, clinching this home-turf tie by defeating Paul Henri Mathieu in straight sets, 6-2, 6-3, 6-2.
Andy will be hoping to clinch a spot in the semifinals for the USA on Sunday, when he takes on Paul-Henri Mathieu in the fourth live rubber.

In the buzzing Coliseum in Winstom-Salem, Andy gave Team USA a 1-0 lead over France after he defeated Michael Llodra 6-4, 7-6(3), 7-6(5).
Andy will open the USA’s Davis Cup quarterfinal against France, facing Michael Llodra.
