"Serving Children Today for Tomorrow"
Overview
After turning pro in 2000 it took Andy Roddick only one year to turn his sites off the court and onto his community. In 2001 Andy began the Andy Roddick Foundation, a charity dedicated to "Serving Children Today for Tomorrow." The goal of the Andy Roddick Foundation is to improve the quality of life and enhance educational and economic opportunities for all children based on the principles of respect for family, education and morality.
"Serving Children Today for Tomorrow," no longer describes the cause we each support; but rather, begins to define the effect of everything we do to help children and families. "Our Vision" is about describing the cultural environment in which we imagine children to be cared for and raised. "Our Vision" is not a one-year goal; or a five year goal; or a ten year goal... it is a generation goal. All benefiting organizations aid in the development of at-risk children and families.
Andy truly believes that every child needs a support system to allow him to have hope for a bright future. To date the foundation has raised more than $10 million.
The Andy Roddick Foundation is a true example of how a tennis player with a dream to help others in need, and a group of volunteers, can make a big difference in a community.
Foundation Goals
- - To assist organizations that improve children's lives on a daily basis.
- - To put racquets in children's hands, not only to teach the game, but also to gain respect for a healthy lifestyle.
- - To fund programs that provide opportunities for children to find a stable environment and reach their potential.
Foundation Programs:
Andy Roddick Youth Tennis Program

The Andy Roddick Youth Tennis Program is serving up lifelong lessons through tennis. The vision to bring the health and wellness benefits of tennis to underprivileged children became a reality in the Fall of 2007.
The program focuses on : making healthy choices, social, career and academic potential. In one year, the program has provided tennis lessons, nutritional instruction and educational mentoring for 500 eager-to-learn, under-served children.
Students in the program benefit from both the physical and mental competition, enjoy the challenges and rewards of learning a new sport and gain respect for a healthy lifestyle with endless possibilities.

Back to Basics Angel Uniform Program

We are about giving children self-esteem. Since 2001 the Andy Roddick Foundation has helped provide new school uniforms to needy children. A new school uniform provides a new playing field for these children. Now school attendance, self-confidence and behavior improves and hope for a better future begins to grow.
The Back to Basics Angel Uniform Program has grown to provide over 10,000 new school uniforms each year to over 5,000 children in 40 schools with the neediest children throughout Palm Beach and Martin Counties. The word is out that help is available. Children ask. Children receive. They are ready to attend school, ready to learn.
The Andy Roddick Foundation appreciates all donations as we strive to "Serve Children Today for Tomorrow."
