The bounce back has begun. Andy has defeated a crafty Paul Goldstein in his first appearance since the Australian Open, 6-3, 6-4.
Andy said, “It’s always good to get through the first round of any tournament. To get through in straight sets is even better.”
In the next round, Andy will face Hyung-Taik Lee (KOR) who defeated Jan-Michael Gambill 6-3, 7-6 (4). This second round match will take place on Thursday following the Andre Agassi – Kenneth Carlsen match starting at 7:00 pm (PST).
