The 2005 Kooyong Classic has been treated to a superb final as the world’s top two players, Federer and Roddick go head to head, in the last match of preparation before the Australian Open. Federer defeated Tim Henman 6-4, 6-2 to advance to the final. The match is scheduled to be played on Saturday, at 2.00pm on Centre court.
Federer has dominated his previous matches against Andy, with Andy having only beaten the world number one, just once before. Andy, whom is feeling extremely excited about his tennis right now, will be keen to have a bash at Federer, just a day before the Australian Open where they could potentially meet in the final.
On playing Andy, Federer stated, “I’m looking forward to this prospect because it’s always nice when the number one and number two play each other and it’s going to be interesting to see just two days before a Slam.”
