Spain, with over 27,000 wild fans packed into the updated Olympic stadium took the first match of the Davis Cup Finals as Carlol Moya took Mardy Fish in straight sets 6-4, 6-2, 6-3.
Mardy took a 3-0 first set lead, but Moya with the well documented home court advantage, took charge and never looked back.
Now it is Andy’s turn to play in the dirt as he takes on Rafael Nadal who is playing No. 2 singles in place of the anticipated opponent, Juan Carlos Ferero.
