Andy has won his first round match against Tim Henman 7-5, 7-6(6). Andy was expecting a battle as Henman had won their last two meetings. At 5-5 in the first set and Henman leading 40-15, Andy blasted powerful serves and sizzling passing shots winning eight of the next ten points and taking the first set.
In the second set, Andy battled back after being down 2-5, and then again from 2-4 in the tiebreak clinching the match with a forehand winner.
