After withdrawing from both Madrid and Stockholm, we can confirm that Andy will be taking part in the last Masters Series event of the year, next week in Paris.
Andy has been struggling of late with knee and elbow injuries but he reports that recently he has been practicing strong, hitting the ball very well and is feeling good!
Team Roddick will be crossing the pond to Paris on Saturday, and arriving Sunday in preparation for the event. Andy has not played competitvely since he reached the final of Bangkok in September and is looking forward to it especially in the lead up to the Masters Cup in Houston and the eagerly awaited Davis Cup Final in Seville, Spain.
Although world number one Roger Federer is doubtful to play due to a thigh injury, the tournament still boasts a strong line up with world number three Lleyton Hewitt confirming his participation. He and Andy are both playing for the number two spot and will both want to do well. Also figuring in the draw is Madrid winner Marat Safin, and last year’s champion in Paris, Tim Henman.
