Andy Withdraws From Tms Madrid

After much speculation in recent days, it has been confirmed that Andy has withdrawn from the upcoming Masters Series Event in Madrid, Spain.

The reason for Andy’s withdrawal is some soreness in his right knee, which he gets when he plays a lot of tennis. Andy has had a very hectic schedule of late with the US hardcourt season, the Davis Cup semi finals and the tournament in Bangkok where he reached the final.

Andy’s main priority for the rest of this year is the Davis Cup Final in Spain in December. He wants to make sure that he is in his best possible shape ahead of that tie and so has sacrificed his appearance in Madrid. At present he is still scheduled to play in both Stockholm and Paris.

The next stop for Andy after a meeting with Reebok today will be back to his home in Austin for a bit of rest, relaxation and recuperation!
