Great Show In Grand Forks

Andy and Andre Agassi dazzled a packed house of 9,500 at the Ralph Engelstad Arena last night in Grand Forks, North Dakota. Spectators came from as far away as Montana, Canada, and Minneapolis-St. Paul to see world class tennis, support charity, and have a lot of fun.

Governor of North Dakota, John Hoeven, opened and closed the evening’s festivities beginning with the Jensens doubles match followed by Andy and Andre in a professional exhibition filled with laser shots and bullet serves. Andre won the first set 6-4 and squeezed out the second set tiebreaker 7-6 to win the match.

Andy brought the crowd into full participation after someone shouted from the stands, “Your serve isn’t so fast!” The next thing this person knew, he was on the court with a hockey helmet on with Andy saying, “Return these!” and then proceeded to hit three rocket serves at his helmeted opponent, who reportedly is still looking for those tennis balls.

Andre addressed the crowd thanking Andy for helping raise funds for his charity and assuring Andy he would gladly return the favor. That is good news for Andy and great news for all the fans who want to see these two great players compete.

Andy’s customary busy schedule had him hustling to the airport to fly to Bristol, CT. for a Wednesday chat on ESPN.

Check back for updates on Andy’s activities.
