In his first appearance at the Thailand Open in Bangkok, the number two seed, Andy Roddick will face lucky loser, Britain’s Arvind Parmer in the first round.

The tournament beginning on Monday, has a strong field with world number one, Roger Federer playing, Marat Safin and home favourite, Paradorn Srichaphan.

Bangkok will kick off Andy’s indoor carpet season, where he will also head to Europe for TMS Madrid, Stockholm and TMS Paris.

Many of the players in the draw were involved in Davis Cup action this last weekend. Due to his Davis Cup participation, Andy will not play his first round match until Wednesday evening.
