Mardy Fish has won his match against Max Mirnyi in four sets, 7-5, 6-2, 3-6, 6-3, giving the United States a 2-0 lead in the Davis Cup presented by BNP Paribas semifinals.
The US will take the lead into tomorrow’s doubles match which will feature the No. 2 doubles team in the world, Bob and Mike Bryan.
The Bryans have been on the Davis Cup team for a year now and have remained undefeated.
Should they continue their winning streak, they will clinch a berth to the Davis Cup final for the US, which will mark their first appearance since 1987.
