Earlier today, Andy Roddick and John McEnroe attempted to entertain a very wet Flushing Meadows. They were to be found on Arthur Ashe court, with John McEnroe at one of the court pitching the balls to Andy, who was at the other end, with his racquet upside down, bottom stuck out, trying to bat the ball out of the stadium.
Andy made connection with a fair few balls, sending some into the posh boxes, a couple into the cheap seats, but wasn’t able to get the ball out of Arthur Ashe Stadium.
Andy looked like he was having a lot of fun, watched by a very amused Tim Henman (who’s in quarter-final action later today) and his coach, Paul Annacone.
