Andy Becomes A Sea Cow For Charity

It was announced yesterday on the ATP’s official website that the governing body of men’s professional tennis has purchased two sculptures to help the Sea Cows for Kids project, a charity based near the ATP headquarters in Ponte Vedra Beach, Florida.

The sculptures are manatees dressed like Roger Federer and Andy Roddick and will be displayed until February of 2005, when the city of Jacksonville will host the Superbowl.

The proceeds of auctioning the Sea Cows to different local businesses will be donated to the Otis Smith Kids Foundation, a local children’s charity

According to the ATP website, “The Otis Smith Kids Foundation provides programs and services to underprivileged children in Northeast Florida in the areas of education, personal development and recreation. Founder Otis F. Smith is a Jacksonville native and former NBA star who is committed to helping children learn, grow and achieve not only as students but as individuals as well.”

We here at AR.com are honored that Andy could be part of this valiant effort from the ATP.
