Tomorrow night, Andy will play again under the lights, against yet another teenager, Rafael Nadal of Spain.
The two fire-powers are set to battle it out in what is expected to be one of the most exciting second round matchups. They take the stage tomorrow night on Ashe Stadium, following the ladies, of course.
Andy has never faced Nadal before, but the spirited teenager has shown that he is not intimiated by the elderstatesman (can you believe that when Andy is just 22?). Nadal, who by all accounts is an average teenager with a few whiskers and a fondness of just hanging around the grounds at tournaments, has already defeated countryman Carlos Moya and earlier this year even upset World No. 1 Roger Federer, snapping his 12 match winning streak after defeating him in straight sets at the Miami TMS.
Andy will have to bring his A game tomorrow night, and perhaps reflect on what it was like for him to play as a teenager at the Open. Regardless, this anticipated match-up is sure to appeal to the spirited night crowd in NYC.
