Going to the US Open?
Meet other Andy fans and form an Andy cheer squad to rally him on as he begins his defense of the US Open title. Also keep an eye out for the ‘Netheads’ [http://www.netheadsports.net] who are very vocal in their support for American players, especially Andy.
Lucy, Kate and Swar will be at the US Open starting Monday, August 30th. As you all are well aware, Andy’s birthday is on opening day, and per AR.com tradition, we will be presenting him with all your birthday wishes along with a small gift. If you’re in the area, meet up with Lucy, Kate and Swar and have your picture taken with the birthday book. The more the merrier!
You can meet Lucy, Kate and Swar on August 30th at the Will Call ticket windows outside the tennis grounds between 10:00 am and 10:30 am for the picture before the day session begins.
The tennis grounds open to the public between 10:30 am and 10:45 am every morning for the day session matches and between 6:30 pm and 6:45 pm for evening session matches. Day session begins at 11:00 am and evening session begins at 7:00 pm.
If you’re using public transportation, you can reach Arthur Ashe Stadium via the Number 7 subway line or via the Q48 bus. Please keep in mind that Monday, August 30th is the start date of the Republican National Convention in New York City, which will continue until September 2nd.
Please refer to the following guidelines while traveling:
o All trains are expected to run on a normal schedule. It is recommended that you do not drive into the city during this time.
o Travel lightly.

Some important Subway notices:
o If you’re planning to travel from Long Island, you can use the Long Island Rail Road [LIRR], which is running on a normal schedule. As an alternative to Penn Station, customers may wish to transfer to the subway at other LIRR locations, including Flatbush Avenue in Brooklyn [Subways available - 2, 3, 4, 5, B, D, M, N, Q, or R], Woodside [Subways available- 7], Hunterspoint Avenue [Subways available- 7], Long Island City, or Jamaica [Subways available - E, J, Z]. Hunterspoint Avenue and Long Island City service is available during rush hours only.

o NJ Transit - All MidTown Direct trains on the Montclair-Boonton and Morris & Essex lines will operate to and from Hoboken rather than New York’s Penn Station. Customers can make New York connections via the Path service or NY Waterway Ferry.
o All Bridges and Tunnels are expected to be open.
o Metro North- At this time, all Metro North trains will be operating on a normal schedule.
o Penn Station NY - At Penn Station itself, two of the six entrances and exits will be available for customers of the Long Island Rail Road, Amtrak and NJ Transit. The Amtrak exits at Eighth Avenue & 31st Street and Eighth Avenue & 33rd Street will be closed, as will the two exits in the former taxiway area on the Amtrak level.
o The exits that will remain open are the Amtrak entrance at 32nd Street and Seventh Avenue, and the Long Island Rail Road 34th Street Entrance, located on 34th Street just west of Seventh Avenue.
