Mardy Fish will fly the flag for Team USA in the final of the 2004 Olympic Games after he beat Fernando Gonzalez, conqueror of Andy Roddick, 3-6, 6-3, 6-4.

However it will not be an all-American final as Massu of Chile beat Taylor Dent in straight sets 7-6(5), 6-1, in the other semi final. If he wins the final it will be Chile’s first ever Gold medal at the Olympics.

Dent will now play Gonzalez in the match for a Bronze medal tomorrow.

The men’s singles final will take place on Sunday at 5pm local time, where America are assured of at least a silver medal. Good Luck Mardy!
