Congrats to those tennis players still alive in the Olympics, but for Andy…there’s no looking back.
Andy gave a great effort in Athens. A medal would have been great, but as any athlete knows you simply can not dwell on the past – whether it’s a victory or a loss — a competitor must always keep their focus on the next match.
In Andy’s future we have a big one coming up…Gushing Shadows, or, wait, is it Flowing Pasture…no, no Flushing Meadows! That’s it, and it’s a grand tournament, indeed.
Andy enters the 2004 U.S. Open as defending champion, which means all the top players will be gunning for him. We know from last year that Andy can handle the heat (how many match points did he save!?!?).
So there’s no time like the present…to prepare for the future.
So good luck to Andy as he gets ready for the U.S. Open, starting August 30th. And of course, andyroddick.com will have a team of talented reporters there to bring you exciting courtside reports and much more!
