What’s shaken guys? Right now, I am sitting at home in Austin, procrastinating packing for Rome and reflecting on what an incredible two weeks it’s been. Of course, by the time you read this I would have already left for Rome, but here’s what’s been happening with me as of late.

After wrapping up my run at Houston, I hauled butt up to Austin, which is only a 2 and half hour drive away. I was so sic”d because I was going home, but the trip was made even sweeter because I was able to take it in my new Mercedes G55 AMG. As an official sponsor of the ATP, Mercedes provided transportation during the Miami tournament and I had fallen in love with this car.

Before I could kick off for a few days, I had to do a couple of interviews and photo shoots. In the end I was rewarded with 5 days off with 4 of my best buds! Austin has two lakes so we spent most of our time out on the boat and jet skiing. When it rained we made a run to Best Buy and stocked up on some DVD’s for my new home theater. The guys took a poll on what movie would be the best to christen the system with, and Top Gun won. Also during my time off the guys convinced me to sharpen my culinary skills so I tried my hand grilling. It was fun!

Doug crashed the party on Friday, but took it easy on me until Sunday. Then it was back to the grind. We”ve been working hard all week and I feel confident heading into the clay court season.

Peace Out -AR
