Roddick Ready to Roll against Schwank
Starting on Day 2 of The Championships at Wimbledon, Andy is ready to take on his first round opponent, Argentinean Eduardo Schwank. The world number 6 will take on the world number 60 on Court 1, playing third after a 1pm start, on Tuesday, June 24th.“I’ve only played on this surface once before and that was at Wimbledon last year and I just did some leg work the day before,” noted Schwank in a press conference at Roland Garros earlier this year. Returning to play at the third Slam of the year after stopping home to treat a nagging back injury, Schwank is ready to keep rising in the rankings as he reached his career high (60) today, June 23rd, though not if Andy has anything to say about it.This 22-year-old righty has been on a winning streak this year, winning 18 matches in a row before getting knocked out of main draw at the French Open, thanks to his coach Javier Nalbandian, David’s older brother. He won three qualifiers this year- Bordeaux, Cremone, and Rome- though his lack of experience on grass will most likely prove evident against the two-time Wimbledon finalist. Here are more stats on Eduardo Schwank:

Birthdate: 23-Apr-86
Birthplace: Rosario, Argentina
Residence: Rosario, Argentina
Height: 6’0’’ (182 cm)
Weight: 182 lbs (82 kg)
Plays: Right-handed
Turned Pro: 2005
