“I Was There… in Winston Salem”
Thousands of you were there in Winston Salem to see the USA advance to the semifinals of the Davis Cup with a 4-1 win over France. Krissy and Janie were two of those fans who cheered the USA to victory and have written to us about their Davis Cup experience.“What a weekend!!Friday’s match was amazing, as is any Davis Cup tie featuring Andy. He was pumped up and kept us fans on our feet. There is nothing like being able to truly cheer on your favorite in a match and Davis Cup offers us fans just that. A newly crowned Nethead, our seats were amazing, and our love for Andy abundant. His love for us, each and every fan there, was also apparent. His fist pumps, his waving arms to get us going, all that was needed to send the US up 1-0.James’ match was out of this world, and had our hearts in our throats a couple of times, but he pulled through and sent us from the stadium on a high note. While waiting for a taxi at the hotel, we were lucky enough to see Andy come in. He was with his friends and Brooklyn. He was very nice, trying to juggle some things, talk to his friends and sign autographs. Brooklyn was a complete sweetheart and took everything from him so he could sign autographs for the few of us that were there. She even spoke and really seemed to care about Andy’s fans. Good pick, Andy!

While it was a disappointment to see the Bryans lose on Saturday, there was definite hype about getting to see Andy play again on Sunday. Of course, he didn’t let us down and the coliseum was rocking for him. Our sign, Roddick = Clinch, proved true even when match point was stolen from him (I swear that ball was OUT!!!) and he went on to serve for the win!

All in all it was a fantastic weekend, meeting Andy and Brooklyn (And Mardy!!!) as well as the US winning the tie.”
