Roddick Youth Tennis Program Update

The Andy Roddick Youth Tennis Program is serving up life long lessons through tennis. The vision to bring the health and wellness benefit of tennis to underprivileged children became a reality in the fall of 2007. The pilot program launched at Cleto Rodriguez Elementary School in San Antonio, Texas. Through weekly tennis clinics and mentoring sessions, the Andy Roddick Youth Tennis Program focuses on:Nutrition – Making Healthy Choices
Social, Career and academic potential
Values for Life
Speakers Program
Mentoring Relationships

To date there are plans to expand the Andy Roddick Youth Tennis Program to schools in Idaho, El Paso, and Austin. Tennis is a sport for life! Students in the program benefit from both the physical and mental competition, enjoy the challenges and rewards of learning a new sport, gain respect for a healthy lifestyle and the possibilities are endless. Andy Roddick started playing tennis when he was 5, and today he travels the world playing in dozens of countries. Just imagine what Tennis can do for any child!
