Despite their greatest efforts, the Bryan Brothers fell to France’s doubles team, Clement and Llodra, in three sets, 6-7(7), 7-5, 6-4.
The first set was an impressive display of volley wars and power shots. Even though both USA and France earned a break point, neither converted and then a tie-break was the determining factor with USA prevailing victorious. France fought back in the second set and this time they capitalized on their break point to take the lead, the set, and even the score.? Keeping up the momentum, France broke the Bryan’s first service game and held through some tough games to take the third set, the match, and the tie to Day 3.
Tomorrow, Andy will take on Paul-Henri Mathieu as the first reverse doubles match of the day, starting at 1pm LIVE on Versus. Tune in the cheer on our Davis Cup Champs!? Go USA!
