U.S. Open champion Andy Roddick has agreed to an additional appearance with the St. Louis Aces at Dwight Davis Tennis Center in Forest Park. And he’s bringing along a sidekick.

Roddick and his coach, Brad Gilbert, will appear with the Aces on July 9 and 10 in what team officials are calling Champions Weekend. Originally, Roddick was scheduled to appear July 10 only. He and Gilbert will play men’s doubles both evenings.

Since teaming with Gilbert less than a year ago, Roddick has won seven tournaments, including the U.S. Open, and had risen to No. 1 in the ATP world rankings. Gilbert once was ranked No. 4 in the world, earned 20 ATP Tour titles and a bronze medal at the 1988 Olympics.

“If I get any more excited, I”ll pass out,” Aces general manager Jack Levitt said. “That makes four dynamic nights of tennis this summer at Forest Park. I couldn”t be happier.”

In addition to Roddick and Gilbert, Martina Navratilova and two-time U.S. Open champion Patrick Rafter will visit Dwight Davis, on July 22 and 24, respectively.

Tickets for the Roddick-Gilbert matches are $50 each and come with a free ticket to any of three other Aces” matches July 13, 16 and 17. Tickets to the Navratilova and Rafter matches are $35 each. All other matches are $25 each. Any fan age 12 and under attending an Aces” home match will receive a free tennis racket and ball.
