Dubai, United Arab Emirates (Sports Network) - Andy Roddick rallied from a set down to beat Spain’s Feliciano Lopez in the final at the Dubai Tennis Championships.

The sixth-seeded American earned a 6-7 (8-10), 6-4, 6-2 victory Saturday to capture his second title of 2008 and the 25th of his career on the ATP Tour. He also won two weeks ago in San Jose.

Roddick had not dropped a set this week before the final, beating second- ranked Rafael Nadal and world No. 3 Novak Djokovic in the process. He had three break chances in the opening set Saturday, but failed to convert, and Lopez was able to take the tight tiebreaker.

Lopez did not manage a single break-point chance against Roddick’s serve during the match, and finally had his own serve broken late in the second set to give the former U.S. Open champ the opening he needed to square the match.

Roddick captured the first two games of the third set with a break of serve and finished the match by winning the last three games with another break.

Lopez held a 24-22 advantage in aces during the match, but Roddick was more proficient on his first serves, losing only seven of the 55 points.

Roddick improved to 4-0 lifetime against the 26-year-old Lopez, who lost in the Dubai final for the second time. He was also the runner-up to Roger Federer in 2004.
