Coincidentally, Andy and Garcia-Lopez’s only previous meeting was at the SAP Open in 2006. Andy clinched that match. Garcia-Lopez has had an impressive run to the semis this week in San Jose though. In three matches, he has played six tie breaks, and won four of them. In the first round, Garcia-Lopez caused an upset, knocking out the number 6 seed, Jurgen Melzer.
