Andy Advances To Houston Final

For the fourth time in four years, Andy has advanced to the Houston claycourt championships final. Andy overcame Peru’s Luis Horna 6-3, 6-4 to secure his way in the final.

Andy showed all aspects of his tennis demeanor, often coming to the net and mixing up his shots well. Andy’s serve was also a dominant factor and after the match, Andy commented:

“That’s the best I’ve served this week. I felt my arm was alive for the first time this week and I didn”t feel threatened on serve too often tonight.”

In the final, Andy will face Germany’s Tommy Haas, who is having a very successful tournament in his comeback from injury. The two have played three times before with Haas winning all three of their encounters, the last one being on clay in 2002. The match will be played not before 3.00pm (local time).
