Arthur Ashe Humanitarian Award

“Receiving this award is and will be one of the proudest moments of my life,” Andy noted in his acceptance speech for the Humanitarian Award given to him by the Arthur Ashe Institute of Urban Health his past spring on April 26.

Day 8 of Advent is about appreciating the humanitarian and philanthropic entrepenure that Andy is, and celebrating all of the work he and the Andy Roddick Foundation have done. Andy proudly followed in the footsteps of great life leaders Arhtur Ashe and Andre Agassi to get here.

As Andy stood tall on stage with his speech written on Post-Its, so he noted, he expressed his utmost appreciation for receiving this award, the hard work that it takes to run this foundation and that it’s all 100% volunteer man-power, and his continuing ambition to help those in need.
