Day 2: Andy and AmEx Down Under

Andy, Andy, Andy! Oy, oy, oy! G’day, mate. Thanks for tuning into Day 2 of Andy’s virtual Advent Calendar, and today we are highlighting Andy and Amex Down Under.During last year’s American Express campaign when Andy made a run to the 2006 US Open finals and took home his second consecutive US Open Series win, American Express put him against an unlikely opponent, Pong. Fan were able to help Andy beat Pong, a reviving of the original Atari game, on www.StopPong.com in addition to watching Andy outsmart the computer-animated rebounding block.

While in Oz in the beginning of this year, Pong revealed itself again and this time Andy actually sat down and played him online during a day with AmEx. During the hot summer days in Melbourne, Andy played real Ping Pong, AmEx Pong (though no winner was announced), and took a ride on a bicycle cab along the Yarra River with two lucky children.
