USA Leads 2-0 on Day 2
After Andy’s straight set win of Russia’s Dmitry Tursunov, James Blake followed in suit to give USA a 2-0 lead at the end of Day 1.

James Blake claimed the first set 6-4 by breaking Mikhail Youzney’s first service game, but the next three sets were not as easy. Displaying the ultimate edge of your seat, nail biting action, Blake and Youzney brought the next three sets to tie-breakers. Blake took the first breaker, Youzney edged ahead to take the second, and with cheers from Andy, Team USA, and the fans, Blake sealed the deal and put USA on the board yet again, leading 2-0 at the end of Day 1.

Going into Day 2, Mike and Bob Bryan, the world’s number one doubles team, will take on Igor Andreev and Nikolay Davydenko in the Davis Cup Finals at 12:30pm Portland time (3:30pm EST). Stay tuned to AR.com on the latest Davis Cup finals news!! Go Team USA!
