“As we express our gratitude, we must never forget that the highest appreciation is not to utter words, but to live by them,” John Fitzgerald Kennedy, former president of the United States, expressed about the importance of giving thanks on this day.
Actions speak louder than words, and Andy is very proud of everything you’ve given, both big and small. You, the supporters of the Andy Roddick Foundation, have given so much of yourselves to help support these children every day so they’ll always have a better tomorrow. As this American day of thanks is underway, we’d like to thank you for all of your support and also relay the appreciation from the countless children you have helped.
This American tradition that takes place on the third Thursday of every November is about relaxing, reflecting, and enjoying family, food, and friends. Also in the States, entertainment has evolved as part of the festivities with early morning parades, and, the Roddick’s highlight of the day, football. This day is a day of “food and football,” John Roddick told AR.com. With their home state team, the Dallas Cowboys, playing midday against the New York Jets, their plates will be piled high by 3pm and their seats will be claimed and warmed up by kick-off.
From all of the Roddicks, the Andy Roddick Foundation volunteers, and we here at the website, thank you for another outstanding year of support! As you sit down and reflect on what you are thankful for, stop and listen carefully because you might just hear the whispers of the children you’ve helped sending their thanks to all of you!
Happy Thanksgiving! Stay tuned to AR.com for all Davis Cup Finals coverage after the leftovers have been gobbled up!
