Houston, TX - Tomorrow, (Thursday, April 15th), Jim and Linda McIngvale will join representatives from H.I.S.D. and special guests from the ATP Tour to dedicate the new tennis facility at Jack Yates High School.
The McIngvales have funded the construction of the state-of-the-art facility in order to promote the game of tennis and encourage athletic participation in Houston’s inner-city schools.
The McIngvales have invited several top professional tennis players to join them at the dedication. Mardy Fish, Robert Kendrick, and brothers Bob and Mike Bryan will participate in the event. The players are in town for the US Men’s Clay Court Championships this week at Westside Tennis Club.
In addition to the new tennis facility at Yates, the McIngvales are funding training for health and physical education teachers in all 300 district schools, as well as tennis clinics for coaches and tennis teams and equipment for inner city schools.
