2008 World Group Draw

The draw for the 2008 Davis Cup World Group was made in London and the 2007 finalists USA have been drawn against Austria away.The USA is the No. 2 seed, but will have to travel to Austria in February 2008 to contest the first round of the World Group. In the same half of the draw is Romania vs France, Peru vs Spain and Germany vs Korea.

The USA have played Austria twice before and won on both occasions – in the World Group semifinal in 1990 (AUT) and the World Group first round in 2004 (USA).

Austria retained its place in the World Group with a 4-1 win over Brazil in the World Group play-off match last weekend.
