Play of the Week ATP

Diving and volley like his coach Jimmy Connors used to do has gotten Andy some positive attention lately, and he was even voted for an extraordinary play on ATPTennis.com.

In Montreal in August, Andy faced off against Marcos Baghdatis. In the second set Andy came into the net, dove to defend the ball and landed on his stomach, then hopped up quick as lightening to backhand slice volley Baghdatis’s cross court return into the open corner to win the point. It was quite impressive, and won Andy August’s Play of the Month, too!
