Roddick And Acasuso Preview

After ending fellow American and friend Justin Gimelstob’s grand slam career, Andy is headed into the second round where he will face Argentine Jose Acasuso.“I got him pretty comfortably last year in Vienna first round,” Andy said in his post-match interview about facing Acasuso. “I feel if I play tennis the way that I can, then, you know, it’s my match to win. That’s kind of the attitude I’ll take into it.”

Going into this Round Two match, Andy leads the head-to-head meeting 3-1. Andy won their first meeting on clay back in 2002, but Acasuso evened the score at the 2005 French Open. Last year, the two faced off twice and both times were one Andy’s best surface- hard court.
