I am Emily Yam, from Malaysia and I would like to nominate myself as Fan of the Month. I am 14 years old and I have been a fan of Andy for quite a while now (so much so my friends in school goes “Oh, here comes the crazy Roddick fan…”) Anyway, I haven’t got a chance to fly halfway across the globe to catch Andy playing live, but I have been following his schedule religiously on the television. I even stay up until 3 – 4am in the morning just to see him play on television, and I would be cheering and whistling by myself every time he earns a point.

The first site I visit (and sometimes, the only) when I turn on the internet is andyroddick.com and I would be stuck in this website from dawn to dusk. I am so fixated with Andy and his great tennis skills that I actually made a scrapbook about him. I started late May and It has grown to about 20 pages. I am just so awestruck by his amazing serve, and baseline game, I just needed more Roddick in my life! My friends helped me in getting certain articles that they find in imported magazines and such… but they
still can’t understand why I am so obsessed with Andy.

I also dragged my parent into LaCoste more than once just to get some LaCoste apparels. Sadly, some Babolat items can’t be found in Malaysia, therefore, I couldn’t get the shoes and such. Since the new No Compromise band just arrived, I have been begging my parents to get me a pack for my birthday in August.

Not only that, but I also make a point to download songs and tv series that Andy mentioned in his blogs. Apparently, they aren’t bad at all!

Andy’s skills in tennis has inspired me in many ways possible, such as the way I play tennis, the way I observe the balls and all… I am truly moved by this tennis wonder, and I hope Andy will keep rocking the tennis court for as long as he lives.”
