Great start to Wimbledon…

Great start to Wimbledon for Andy so far.  A couple of matches in and so far so good.  It has been a pretty wet Wimbledon.  A lot of rain the first few days of the tournament.  The good thing is that Andy has gotten his matches in and completed on the day they were scheduled.  Andy has played pretty well and we hope to be watching him play deep into next week.

Andy’s first match here was against Justin Gimelstob.  Andy has been good friends as I have with Justin over the years. I know it is always tough to play a friend.  Justin is a guy who always gives 100% each time he plays and he is always fun to watch.  It was one of the only times I can remember cheering against Justin in a match.  It also is very weird on Center Court this year.  There is no roof that covered about half of the stands. It has been removed in the last year.  They are in the middle to a 2 year building program on Center Court.  They are among other things going to add a re-tractable roof so that play can continue on Center Court when it rains.  However this year is seems that the Center Court feels different and has lost a little of its charm.  Next year there will once again be a roof on Center.

Up to this point Wimbledon has been good. Another match tomorrow and then hopefully into the second week!!!!
