Ticket Content Winner Update!

For Queen’s, AndyRoddick.com gave away a pair of tickets for Andy’s first round match to one lucky Club Roddick member. Kirsty Roberts won the tickets, and went with her Gran to watch Andy play Stepanek at the Artois Championships. Below is her report.

“When I found out that I’d won tickets to see Andy play at Queens i couldn’t believe it. I had the most amazing day and it was a dream come true. When I arrived there i found out that I had player box tickets which have got to have the best view of the court! The tickets also allowed me to enter Queen’s Club before the gates opened. I couldn’t believe my luck when i saw Andy and Jimmy arrive and i was able to get Andy’s autograph on a picutre I’d just brought and a photo with him! I was unable to talk to him as I was in shock but it was a moment that I will defiantely never forget!

The only time I’d ever seen Andy play live was at Wimbledon last year when I queued and got to see the last ten minutes of his match against Mayer. To be able to watch Andy play a whole match was amazing. His serve is incredible to watch and he hit some stunning aces throughout the match. It was fab to watch Andy’s forehand shots and the power he used to slide the ball past his opponent Stepanek. Andy played a very solid match and it was absolutely brilliant to watch especially to see the dominance of his serve and how he did not face a break point in the whole match. To be part of the crowd and be able to show Andy my support along with everyone was great and i hope that i get to see Andy play many more matches.

I also got to watch some other entertaining matches involving Henman, Monflis and Ljubicic.

Andy has been an inspiration not just to me but to many many others and in a way seeing him and supporting him at a match allows the fans to show what a fab person he is.
