Fans were able to watch the draw being made live, and therefore saw Andy being slotted into his fate. On any surface Andreev is a tricky opponent and this year he has played several clay court tournaments so will be feeling comfortable on the surface.
Andy, who took a wild card into Poertschach this week in order to sharpen up for the French, has been placed in the third quarter of the draw. Should Andy progress past Andreev, he faces a couple of specialist clay courters, and nearby threats include Mayer, Hrbaty and Baghdatis.
The French Open has a Sunday start this year. Stay tuned to AR.com for all the latest news on Andy in Paris!
