The lucky winner was Michele Ooten from Naples, FL. Michele and her husband attended Andy’s match against Arguello Vassallo at Cranden Park. Afterwards, Michele wrote to us about her day.
“What a great day we had at the Sony Ericsson Open thanks to Club Roddick!! My husband, Jim, and I went to the tournament early Friday and were lucky enough to get ground passes. We could get into all the courts except the main stadium. We watched a lot of great tennis – Gonzalez, T. Johansson, Del Potro, Lopez, Safin and a few others during the day.
But the highlight was watching Andy in the main stadium at night easily defeat Arguello. Andy played a very good match and it was a lot of fun cheering him on along with everyone else in the stadium. And to see him serve in person! It was very exciting! Attending a tournament like this is really a unique experience. To be able to watch the pros on the
practice courts only 15 to 20 feet away from you and to actually see and hear the power with which they hit the ball is really kind of amazing. Unfortunately, Andy was not one of them that was practicing.
We have followed Andy’s career for years and consider ourselves very loyal fans, so winning tickets to Andy’s match was a real treat for us – one that we will not forget.”
Well done to Michele. If you want a chance to win tickets to see Andy play this year, sign up to Club Roddick (via the Proshop) now!
