The All Andy Memphis Showdown
For the second week in a row, Andy will take on Andy Murray of Great Britain for a place in an ATP tour final. Last week San Jose, today Memphis. It was Murray who sneaked victory last week, giving Andy all the more reason to want to turn the tables this week.

Currently Murray leads the head to head scores 3-1, although Andy did get the better of Murray in Kooyong the week before the Aussie Open, a win which wasn’t officially recorded. Murray has reached the semis this week with battling wins over Dancevic and Pless, before a more convincing performance against Koubek in the quarters.

Speaking about the match, Andy said: “He’s tough and he’s playing with a lot of confidence right now. I’m going to have to turn the corner for the better if I want to get out with a win. Andy’s a tough opponent because he plays defense so well and he’s not as affected by pace. He moves well and he hasn’t played himself out of points.

“He’s a tough guy and I made way too many errors last week (in San Jose) to really even deserve to be close. I definitely have to tighten it up a notch and not give away freebies.”

The pair will be on court at 3pm local time on Saturday, the second of the mens semis. The other semi final will be contested by Mardy Fish and Tommy Haas.

Good luck, Andy!!
