The 2003 ATP Awards presented by Waterford Crystal were announced this morning in Miami, the site of the NASQAQ-100, the follow-up Masters event of the Pacific Life Open in Indian Wells.
Andy was voted as the ATP Player of the Year for the 2003 season!
The awards were voted on by fellow players as well as fans. Andy was also among the group acknowledged for having earned 10 career titles.
2003 was also banner year for Andy as he won his first Masters Series event as well as his first Grand Slam. He went onto to finish the year with the No. 1 ranking, making him the youngest American to finish as the year-end No. 1and only second in the world to do so in the history of ATP Entry Ranking system (now the INDEST ATP Ranking system).
