After having led the USA to a fine victory on clay in the Czech Republic at the weekend, Andy’s confidence will be sky high moving onto the indoor hard courts in San Jose.
Dancevic has had an average start to the year, picking up five wins so far and he’s ranked just inside the top 100 in the world. The 22 year old Canadian has played Andy once before, and it was Andy who emerged victorious winning in three sets at Queens Club last year.
Speaking ahead of the tournament, Andy said: “I had some success there in the past. I enjoy playing in front of the fans there. It’s nice to go back to a place you’re familiar with. I played there I think since, what, 2001 now. I’m excited to get back there.”
The match will take place in the evening on Valentine’s Day in San Jose. It’s starting at 7pm local time (PST) so cancel those dates!
Good luck, Andy!
