Lacoste has done it again, teaming up with Eurosport to produce five engaging episodes of “On The Rod with Lacoste” following Andy and Team Roddick at the Masters Cup in Shanghai. The first episode paints an insightful portrait of the scenery and culture of Shanghai. Three days prior to his debut match against Croatia’s Ivan Ljubicic, Lacoste sits down with Andy in his hotel room to get his reactions on his first visit to China.

”I’ve played in Japan, I’ve played in Thailand, but never China,” Andy explains. “It’s great, it’s amazing to see how big this event is here,” Andy describes his first impressions when driving to the stadium. “You can really tell that everyone is excited for us to be here, and that is contagious. That makes us even more excited to play!” Qualifying fifth for the year-end event, Andy explains his appreciation for being included in the elite player field. “You are walking around with the best of the best. It’s a good feeling.”

From post injury training with Athletic Trainer Doug Spreen to predicting the outcome of “The Group of Death,” Andy and Lacoste cover a variety of subjects in his first one on one in Shanghai.
