Happy Thanksgiving from Coach John!

After a few hectic months, jet setting around the world and back, John Roddick is ready for some “R and R” and the holiday season. Before getting ready for the Thanksgiving tradition of ‘food and football,’ John gave us his “year end update” following Shanghai .

“We have now officially finished the year, and are looking forward to a week or so off before we start training for Australia . We all feel like the year ended on an upswing and there are a lot of positives to carry into next year. Andy has definitely added a new dimension to his game over the last 6 months, by becoming one of the better players at net on tour. Now having the option to come in at will, should prevent players from falling into a groove against Andy’s ground game.”

Excited about the improvements made towards the end of 2006, John and Team Roddick are enthusiastic about building on Andy’s game in the off season. “We are looking forward to putting in the kind of hard work that will result in a start to 07 the way we finished up 06. Andy knows that he has a lot of opportunity between now and the end of Wimbledon , and it is time to take advantage of it! Happy Thanksgiving to everyone!
