Andy in Red in Shanghai!

The eight players were divided into two groups: Red and Gold. Joining Andy in the Red, is Roger Federer, Ivan Ljubicic and David Nalbandian.

The Gold group is headed by Rafael Nadal, and consists of Nikolay Dayvdenko, Tommy Robredo and James Blake.

The tournament in Shanghai, starting next week, will commence with a round robin format. Each player will play everyone in their group. At the end of the round robin stage, the top two players in each group, will qualify for the semifinals.

Andy’s first match will be against Ivan Ljubicic on Sunday, the first day of the tournament. Play begins at 1pm in Shanghai and Andy vs Ljubicic follows a re-match of last year’s final between Roger Federer and David Nalbandian. Shanghai is EST +13hrs, so Andy’s match will be on around 2am EST so set those alarm clocks on Saturday night!

The Masters Cup showcases the elite players. Andy will preparing to be on top form come next week.
