November 2006: Fan Of The Month

Congratulations to Becci and Nikki who are joint November AndyRoddick.com Fans of the Month! Becci and Nikki are two very special Andy fans who employ their spare time and efforts to help the Andy Roddick Foundation.

Claire, who nominated the girls, explained this in her nomination:
“For fan of the month I would like to nominate two people they are Nikki S and Becci B, they are two of the nicest people you’ll ever meet although a bit nutty at times!

These two Andy fans from the UK wanted to get Andy No Compromise wristbands and found it a bit pricey with the international postage and package to buy from the Pro Shop, so in true Andy style instead of sitting back and moaning they decided to do something about it.

They approached the Andy Roddick Foundation and gained permission to sell Andy’s No Compromise wristbands, and they have now set up their own website making it much easier for UK and European fans to buy Andy bands. Not content with selling just Andy bands they now sell the full range of ar.foundation things.

At Queens 2006 they presented Andy with a letter explaining their work and how much they had raised for his charity up until that point, a very happy smiley Andy left the practice courts that day! (Note – see picture opposite!)

Becci and Nikki should be proud of what they have done, I am humbled at their achievements for Andy’s kids, for being true fans and true friends. This is why I think they should be fan of the month.”

A huge well done to Becci and Nikki, and also a sincere thank you from AR.com for your commitment to Andy and his Foundation. A big round of applause for these two girls!
