This last week, Andy, Ljubicic, and then on Sunday, Davydenko, all qualified for the season-ending Masters Cup. They will join Nadal and Federer in Shanghai. Andy qualified with 463 points.
Six out of the seven Masters Cup hopefuls are in Paris this week, and the prize is 100 points for the winner. Baghdatis was forced out of the Race due to injury, and although Nalbandian is also sidelined this week, he’s still in with a chance, depending on other results.
Last minute charges from Gonzalez and Ancic have put them back in serious contention for a place, but they will be battling it out against Blake, Robredo, Haas and Berdych in the BNP Paribas Masters! The withdrawals of Federer and Nadal opened the draw up, but will the contenders be able to take advantage of that?
