Andy Qualifies for Shanghai

Well, we’ve been counting down to the Masters Cup on AR.com, but now, with still a week and a half of tennis left to be played, Andy and Ivan Ljubicic have become the third and fourth players to qualify for the year end Masters Cup! They will join Federer and Nadal in Shanghai, beginning November 12th.

Their places were guaranteed on Tuesday, due to the early losses in St. Petersburg and Lyon by Tommy Robredo and Marcos Baghdatis.

This is the fourth year in a row that Andy has qualified for the Masters Cup. It will be Andy’s first trip to Shanghai as he was unable to participate in the grand finale last year due to injury. In his two previous appearances in the Masters Cup, hosted in Texas in 2003/4, Andy reached the semifinals
