Shanghai: Six Weeks to Go!

Last week, most of the top ten were in action…especially those fighting for a place in the year-end Masters Cup! So let’s check in to see how Andy’s standing after his stint in Vienna.

Reaching the semifinals of the BA-CA Trophy certainly gave Andy a points booster! However there was no switching of positions amongst the top ten last week.

Ljubicic, the winner of Vienna, pulled ahead of Andy by 30 points, and Davydenko, who claimed the title in Moscow is now hot on Andy’s heels with just four points separating the two.

The tennis moves to Madrid this week, and as it’s a Masters Series event, all points gained by every player counts towards the Race. One of the top tournaments of the year, it’s important to all those gunning for a place in Shanghai!
